How to make easy flower chain garland

This guide will show you how to make your own template for a 5 petal flower without needing a printer and how to use the template to cut out a flower chain.

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

Materials:
1 square of scrap paper
Long strip of paper
Scissors
Pen or pencil

Bring the top edge down to fold the square scrap paper in half

Bring the left side to the right to fold in half again
unfold

Fold the right edge to the center crease
unfold

Place the paper on the table so that the open end is on the bottom.
Start at the middle crease and fold the left side down until its top point touches the crease line of the right side.

Result

Unfold
Bring the left side down to the crease line you just made

Result

Fold the left side back down
Then fold in half vertically

With the closed edge on the left side, cut in an arc from the bottom left point of the strait edge until about 2/3 up the opposite side

Cut off a little of the top point

Open the flower
This is your template
Place it at the end of the strip of paper and fold over to mark it’s width

Fold your paper accordion style

Place the flower on the end of the strip of paper and make an out line but at the left and right center petals make the petal line come all the way to the edges. This will be where the flowers connect and should not be cut.

Cut out the flower. *When you get to the side petals pay attention not to cut all the way around so that you leave them connected at the sides
